This is a time of education and discussion on a variety of topics.
During Lent 2025:
Sundays from 9:45am-10:30am and Wednesdays from 7pm-7:50pm in the sanctuary.
Series: “Exploring Our Shared Stories of Race” led by Deacon Erin Power, Luke Papenfuss, and Pastor Chad Brucklacher.
Starts March 9th & 12th – Each Sunday and the following Wednesday will have the same content.
Ruth Circle
This women’s Bible study meets monthly during the program year (Sept-May).
Meets on the 3rd Monday of the month at 2:00pm in the parlor. All women are invited!
St. John Book Club
This is the book club that meets once per month with a different book to discuss each time. Meets the first Monday of the month at 7pm in the parlor unless otherwise noted. New members are always welcome!

Fellowship
Quilting
Tuesdays from 9am-2pm in the music room (Sept-May). Please bring a sack lunch. Everyone welcome!
No sewing experience necessary. The quilts we make are sent around the world through Lutheran World Relief, and used for local needs.
MUGG Night (Men Under God’s Guidance)
Second Monday of the month at 5:30pm at Swing Barrel Brewing (814 Center Ave, Ste. 1, Moorhead).
All men are invited to join us for a time of fellowship.
Women & Wine
All women are invited for a time of food, drinks, and fellowship!
Usually meets on the Third Thursday of the month at 6:00pm at a church member’s home.

“Living With Anxiety” Group
If anxiety or a related condition impacts your life, please join us!
This is an informal time of conversation and supporting each other. It’s great to know you’re not alone in your struggles! We have done a variety of things together, including book studies and an education series on anxiety, as well as practicing anti-anxiety techniques together.

Vacation Bible School 2025: “At the Table”
Date & Time: Sunday, Aug 3rd thru Wednesday, Aug 6th from 5:30pm-7:30pm, here at St. John!
Meal for families & volunteers: 4:45pm-5:30pm
Ages: 4 years old (by 9-1-25) thru entering 6th grade

Cross+Walk Sunday School
Sundays from 9:30am-10:30am in the fellowship hall (Sept-May). All ages welcome, with an emphasis on families with children from age 3 to grade 5.

Here’s a sample outline of how a morning of Cross+Walk Sunday School looks:
9:30am: Family fellowship time
9:45am: Large Group time
10:10am: Small Group time for kids age 3 through grade 5
10:30am: dismiss
6th-8th Grade Confirmation Classes
Wednesdays from 6:30pm-7:30pm in the parlor (Sept-May).
Youth are usually confirmed in the fall of their 9th grade year on Reformation Sunday.

Milestones Ministry
This program recognizes major events in the life and faith of our children and youth, such as baptism, first Bible, Confirmation, and more!

Middle School Night
(Grades 6-8) We meet one Friday per month from 6:30pm-9:30pm.
2024-25 dates: Oct 4, Nov 8, Dec 6, Jan 10, Feb 7, Mar 7, Apr 4, May 2
Sometimes we just need to have a little fun! Middle school night is for middle schoolers to have fun together at the church. We play games, have snacks, and get creative together. It often involves running around or hiding in the church. Through this fellowship time, we build lasting friendships, practice inclusion, and respect each other as well as the building.
Friends are welcome, feel free to invite others who don’t normally attend at St John!
