New Member Sunday

Are you curious about what it means to be a member of St. John? Please join us for new member classes ahead of our New Membership Sunday on Sunday, October 13th, 2024.  Classes will be Wednesdays, October 2nd and 9th, from 7:30pm-8:30pm. Please plan to attend both.

You will learn about the mission and ministry of St. John and also learn about the practical details of being a part of this church.

Please contact Pastor Chad or the office (701-232-8521) if you’re interested in joining St. John. If you can’t make it to the classes, we would be happy to make other arrangements with you.

Corn on the cob

St. John Cornfeed

St. John’s annual Cornfeed will be Wednesday, August 14th from 5pm-7pm in the fellowship hall. Please join us for corn on the cob, brats, and homemade desserts!
This event is open to the public.

The proceeds made at the Cornfeed fundraiser will go toward the purchase of an entire new sound system for the sanctuary at St. John. We presently have 3 old systems, piecemealed together. In addition, our sound system is out of compliance with the FCC. The new system aims to provide a clearer sound to ALL areas of the sanctuary and bring back functionality of the narthex speakers. The church council has approved this project and is happy that the Worship & Music Special Music funds can provide half the cost (so far).

This is an ambitious project. If this is a passion of yours, we encourage you to give above and beyond at the Cornfeed. We need about $20,000 more. We are also able to do this project in phases.  Checks should be payable to “St. John Lutheran Church,” with “Special Music Fund” in the memo line.

Thank you to Kevin Kroke’s company, LKA Engineers, for matching the first $500 raised!

Thank you!!  —Dawn Papenfuss, Director of Music
