St. John Foundation – Funding & Scholarships

The St. John Foundation Board will hold its next meeting on Tues, June 3rd. At this meeting, they’ll review funding applications for this quarter, as well as applications for the Asleson Scholarship.

Foundation funding: meant to enhance the ministry of the wider Church. Open to St. John members and non-members.

Asleson Scholarship: for St. John members who will be attending an ELCA-affiliated college as a full-time student in the upcoming academic year.

At the Table Vacation Bible School

VBS 2025

Please join us for Vacation Bible School at St. John! Our theme this year is “At the Table” where we’ll talk about God’s love for everyone around the world as we practice sharing our stories and listening to the stories of others. Everyone has a seat at the table!

Date & Time: Sunday, Aug 3rd thru Wednesday, Aug 6th from 5:30pm-7:30pm, here at St. John!

Meal for families & volunteers: 4:45pm-5:30pm

Ages: 4 years old (by 9-1-25) thru entering 6th grade

Cost: $15/child or $30/family—SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE!

BIO Girls is a proven, preventive mental wellness program with the mission of improving the self-esteem of adolescent girls across the Midwest.

BIO Girls is coming back! This year, our activity will be art!

Save the date for fall 2025: Mondays from 4pm-6pm, Sept 8th—Nov 24th.

Youth Sunday

Youth Sunday: Oct 20th

During worship on Sunday, October 20th (8:30am & 10:45am), we’ll be celebrating the youth of St. John! Youth will be invited to help lead the worship services, and the participants in the 2024 ELCA Youth Gathering will share some stories!

The youth will be selling Caramel Rolls between services!

Blessing of the Backpacks

Students of all ages are invited to bring their backpack to worship on Sept 8, 2024, at 8:30am & 10:45am. We’ll offer a blessing for everyone going back to school.
